Wow, I can’t believe how busy I’ve been this month!
I’ve half-written about 5 different posts (mostly fitness related) but I haven’t had the chance to finish & post them!
However, here’s a little visual treat from my month of November…
So yesterday I got to host a Sydney social Instagram account called @ccsyd. It’s one of those ‘pass the baton’ concepts where people do a day-in-the-life for everyone to share and then pass it on.
Many people think social media is impersonal but I find it the complete opposite. I love the way it helps you connect to people you wouldn’t otherwise have met (like you!) and it even more weaves a community feel when it’s based around your own city!
Here are my photos from the day in the life of @thisismelly.
Seriously, doing my workout outdoors is so much better than at the gym. It never gets boring with this view!
I can’t explain to you how happy Harley is running
next ahead of me! Especially with a stick in his mouth!
Picking up coffee from my fave local cafe Kebo on my way home from the run is the best. And check out their new graffiti art work!
I’ve been doing a project here at a client site for almost a year now! Channel 7 & Pac Mags is in the building so I get to see a few famous faces; Koshie, Home & Away actors, Jackie Frank from Marie Claire, Better Homes & Gardens presenters and random celebs coming in for interviews. Its fun!
Our senior manager Ben came to meet with Mands & I and took us for lunch at The Grounds…yum!
Capturing a pic of this amazing street art on my way home…
Any excuse to take photos of flowers!
This view never gets old.
After Jay arrived home from work we took Harley down to see the light show on as part of the Vivid Festival. We got ‘naked burritos’ from Mad Mex and sat on the wharf.
Loved sharing my day with the Insta-world; hope you enjoyed it too!
You wouldn’t know it’s approaching winter here in Sydney. There hasn’t been a cloud in the sky for days and today the top temp was 30°C (86°F)!
Gorgeous weather people, which is making me very happy indeed!
Here’s what I got up to in the past week…
How’s everyone’s Easter break?
I’ve been loving the extra long four day weekend spent at home in a love bubble with Jay and Harley.
The week past was full of cramming work in before the holidays, getting my healthy eating back on track and catching up with family & friends.
The only low is that Jay’s Dad’s cancer is back; in his liver this time around which means intensive chemo starting next week. We’re focusing on sending good thoughts and lots of love his way.
and later on date night; Hoopla under the Big Top in Darling Harbour. It was super fun but a little weird when the trapeze artist got the shits with her clothing and took off her top mid-way through the routine! Flying boobies with the flying trapeze!
Happy Easter Sunday xx
Hello, sleep? this is Melly. I’m ready for you now!
I can barely keep my eyelids open as I write this. Hectic week… Jay was in Melbourne for work which meant keeping a house full of rolling guests (one lot departed as another arrived) entertained came down to me (thank God for the delights of Harley the born entertainer)!
Acting like big kids with Danny. My goofy favourite uncle!
Tuesday night we stayed til closing at the local Thai restaurant
drinking wine and talking.
Wednesday night we drank cocktails & shared sundaes with the sparkling city backdrop behind us…
and a few more with friends
how can you not when your city shows off weather like this?!!
The last of our guests left this morning,
so now it’s time to do the washing & get back into our routine.
But first a little nap in the sun…
Let’s be friends!!!
