  1. Honestly, this list confounds me. Not the content, but the sheer mass of it. I will never read as many books as you have devoured in 2009 in my entire life!!!

      1. Oh, and Cuckoo’s Nest would pair nicely with The Bell Jar (which you mentioned you wanted to read elsewhere [and now I’ve hinted more at what you would be in store for when reading the latter]).

  2. I also love Hemingway. You should read some Proust – it can be a little heavy and convoluted at times, but its seriously life changing.

  3. I love this! So inspiring too. And beyond helpful – so many titles of the books on your list have been given to me at some point in time but many of themi had forgotten how much I wanted to read them. And so, that is no more! I will scour this post when I’m needing inspiration of what my next paper reading shall be. Thanks : ) x

      1. be brave; dare to say which weren’t worth it. I know it’s hard when you’ve invested the time, but it would be helpful to your followers.

  4. Me too. And I’m pleased to say, I’m back on the reading wagon. For ages after reading The Book Thief I just couldn’t seem to find anything I wanted to read because I just struggled to see anything would top it! But I’ve moved on from that thought now : ) and am halfway through The Alchamist, which I’ve been meaning to read for ages. Next on the list is The Help – amazing reviews all round from my friends, so I just thought I’d pass that on to you. X
