fraternizing with the enemy

Did I ever tell you that Jay works for my company’s direct competitor?

While it’s industry knowledge that the organisation I work for is far more superior than the organisation Jay works for (heehee!) Jay’s company is owned by one of Australia’s biggest Telcos; and last night was their Christmas party.

They put on an amazing event at Circular Quay; taking over the foreshore of 4 or 5 restaurants there. Food stations, roving waiters with drinks & canapes, music & dancing. My toes are still numb this morning from dancing all night!

The ICT industry in Sydney is relatively small & incestuous, so you always bump into people you’ve worked with before, even in a crowd of 2000+ people I met up with 4 friends/former colleagues & 1 cousin!

I have two big nights of drinking, dancing & debachery every year and the work Christmas party is always one of them! I’m feeling a bit dusty today (Jay even more so) and thought I’d substitute my usual ‘Fitspiration Friday’ in lieu of the hangover

Hope your holiday parties are a time to let down your hair and have a bit of fun, but still leave you in a position where you’re able to walk out with heels & dignity in tact! 😉
