I had the most joyful Sunday!
We started the morning with a long walk around Glebe harbour with Harley. We took the frisbee along for some training with him. He went for a swim. We did not (it’s still winter!).
Followed by Japanese for lunch at Tömödachi.
My favourite; gyoza to share and a bento box.
We read the paper, did some house work and then had a long afternoon nap all curled up in the afternoon winter sun.
In the evening we headed out to the city to see Gotye in concert at as part of the weekend long Graphic Festival.
We grabbed some dinner at Opera Bar
There is time for a drink before the show on the Opera House deck
We have really great tickets – box to the side of the stage.
The performance is so great. Gotye has a fantastic band and they play a huge array of instruments (electric/acoustic/bass guitars, saxaphone, clarinet, acoustic and electric drums, bongos, Video-Jockey, percussion) and Gotye himself plays the xylophone, keyboard, a weird electric version of the zylophone that turns into a keyboard, drums and some African-type instruments(I don’t know what they are)!
He is so casual and enigmatic and really engaging. I’m really glad he was just a cool 31 year old Aussie male! He has the most amazing voice with huge range. Eyes wide Open was brilliant as was State of the Art and Bronte but the most amazing was my favourite song Somebody That I Used to Know and the fact that Kimbra came out on stage for it!
The animation was really beautiful and perfectly reflected the songs.
It was a wonderful night and a perfect Sunday!

Sounds like you had such a great day. Nothing better than getting to spend a full day with the person you love most.
